Foster School of Business whose native language is not English must demonstrate English language proficiency by: (1) Obtaining a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in the United States or from an institution in Australia, the Bahamas, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, Singapore, Trinidad and Tobago, or the United Kingdom, or by: (2) Reporting an English language proficiency test score with the following minimum score: TOEFL iBT: 92. English Speaking Fluency Requirements Applicants to the Michael G. Foster School of Business who are not native speakers of English must submit a speaking score to qualify for the financial aid package, regardless of degrees earned from the United States or from institutions in the countries listed above. We require the following minimum scores: TOEFL iBT speaking section: 26, UW VERSANT Spoken English test: 65.

Applicants should take the GMAT in December or earlier, because scores from later examinations will not arrive in time. Request that GMAC send your official scores to the University of Washington, school code 459-75-53. Allow three to four weeks for our office to receive your scores. We can also accept the Graduate Record Examination (GRE), but GMAT scores are preferable.
